Building with pebbles, ignoring the sand
An interesting event last night - thanks Alfie for your alert.
The title of this post is the title of a piece I wrote about it. Probably not what the editor was expecting, I'm waiting to hear if it was accepted

- Was really great seeing you, so unexpected surprise! Your comment was one of the best of the evening, the pebble/boulder metaphor got abused all night :) by Alfie
- I was so sick of that metaphor by the end! Great thought-provoking night though. by kel
- The pebble metaphor will get abused a good deal more (in a slightly different way) if I get my way. The more i think about the evening the more I'm staggered by the apparent gaps in the major presenters' thinking and in their apparent total lack of awareness as to what happens when expectations aren't managed or even acknowledged! by Dhamaka
- interesting. I want to read the article. yes i think we were just warming up when it was all being concluded, I was busy attempting to write down and articulate my points about collective responsibility and then it was over. by beth
- I'll get it to you Beth - when I've heard back from de telegraaf. I'm not as confident with this piece as I'd normally be - it's not my normal subject, a new client and the final piece wasn't quite what they were probably expecting so I need some time to reassure myself by Dhamaka
- fair enough, i am very intrigued though, lovely to see you again! by beth
- you too
